Chair-tie ~ Part 2 of 3
So imagine this – now you have a model who is sitting in a chair, with a harness tied around her chest area, her wrists bound, and her elbows tied together by a thickly wrapped rope. Sometimes, the rope that is used around the wrist is longer, which means it is then extended, after tying the wrists together, to the rope wrapped in between the elbows, and the back of the harness, and then neatly knotted and tucked in at the back of the harness to make a streamlined look. This can be very confusing for the helper who has to later untie the model, as the streamlined ropes can look like it’s merely one very long piece of rope that is extended to multiple parts of the body. It’s always kind of interesting to watch the first timers try to untie the model – it can take up to quite a few minutes just to figure out how to undo the hands! At this stage, rope is wrapped at the top of the chair, around one side of the bars on the chair back, then extended back to the ropes at the back of the harness, and depending on where the bars on the chair back is (whether is lower or higher), wrapped around near the wrists or higher up on the rope connecting the wrists, the elbows and the harness, and then wrapped around the symmetrical twin bar on the other side of the chair, just to make it even. Pressure from the ropes on the model’s body in terms of a chair tie is important as it can get uncomfortable if one side is tighter than the other. Again, depending on the type of chair, and how many bars there are on the chair, there may be more than one rope that ties the model to the back of the chair, all of which would be neatly wrapped and then carefully knotted away from the model’s reach. This actually adds to the appeal of the chair tie, as you can customize a look around a specific chair.
I forgot to mention earlier the crotch rope. Now, to be honest, I’m not too fond of the crotch rope myself, but many of the models are, so I must mention it here. The crotch rope is tied by wrapping the rope tightly around the hip area in a series of snug, neat loops, and then tucked in at the front of the hips, pulled back under the model and through the crotch area (thus the name, crotch rope) and either wrapped and knotted at the back of the chair if the style of chair used allows it, or simply tied to the ever-growing mass of neatly wrapped rope at the model’s back. If you look at some photos of the chair ties on our website, www.brandibondage.com, you can see the thickness of some of these ropes.
Think there’s enough rope already? Not even done yet. We are only through the upper part of the model’s body! Next essay – the rest of the chair tie…
