Being Hogtied ~ Part 2 of 3

So where did we leave off?  Right, after the tying of the hands, and the lowering of the model onto her stomach, it’s time to tie up those lovely legs so they don’t attempt to kick the photographer while she’s trying to take the photographs.  Ok, just kidding.  We don’t actually try to injure the photographer, we just like to struggle  The knees are first wrapped up in rope, with a few wraps around the outsides of the knees, making sure to leave some slack as the knees will be bent when the hogtie is completed, and that tends to expand the knees a bit, and leaving the rope too snug around the knees can cause some serious discomfort.  The rope is then wrapped around itself between the two knees, and then tied off.  As this tends to be a separate rope from the rest of the leg, the rope used is usually a shorter rope.

Then ropes are wrapped around the ankles much like the same way that they are wrapped  around the knees, and then cinch snugly by wrapping the rope around itself between the ankles, but not uncomfortably as the ankles will also lose circulation quickly if tied too tightly.  Again, the knots are tied away from the model’s hands, as it can be easy to get at ankle knots otherwise in a hogtie, as long as the model’s flexible enough.  .  Uncle M will push the model’s ankles to where her legs are most comfortable, which will vary for different people since some people have stiff and inflexible knees, while others are somewhat monstrously flexible.  The rope is then anchored to the back of the harness (the rope that is tied around the model’s torso – if you don’t know what I’m talking about, make sure you read part 1!!) by tucking in the rope a couple of times at the harness, and then wrapping the rope snugly around itself to make a spiral-like pattern.  This rope is then cinched and knotted away from the model’s hands.

At this point, the basics of the hogtie is pretty much finished.  There are however a few elements that can be put in to make the hogtie just that much better.  My favourite way is the hair tie, which basically weaves thin pieces of rope into the hair, braiding the hair, and often pulling that back and tying it to the hand rope to make the model rear up slightly, arching her back.  Another way is to tie the toes with a thinner piece of rope (or I guess it would be called a string since it is thin), wrapping the said rope around the base of the two big toes, and then around itself in between the two toes.  This is mostly for decorative purposes, but can serve as a reminder to the model to keep her toes pointed during the shoot.  Then add your appropriate gags or blindfolds, and away the photo shoot goes!

Not done yet!  Next…a look at the photo shoot itself when a hogtie is involved, and some awesome details on the struggles (or sometimes lack thereof depending on the model…guilty as charged!)

As someone who, for years, only experienced hogties vicariously (that is, I only saw them in movies and pictures, and had no lady to actually hogtie) the reality of just how helpless they can leave someone was quite a revelation.

Now, of course, my Mara is not thin, nor is she young and flexible. When she’s hogtied, she can barely roll onto her side, and certainly not back again. If I place her in a hogtie, I can rest assured that she will be there when I get back.

All of which has given me a newfound appreciation for all the ladies I’ve watched in varied and sundry BDSM videos over the years. Said ladies would often move about the room quite vigorously while hogtied, often opening cabinets and drawers in an effort to find something sharp to assist in their escape attempts.

These ladies are obviously very fit and very flexible. And they also must be getting quite the workout in said videos. Indeed, perhaps there should be a “bondage workout” video for aspiring bondage models-to-be!
