Rope work so detailed, so intricate, and so delicate so that it portrays beauty in such a haunting and airy way – that is exactly what hair bondage is all about.  It is taking the usually lank, unexciting and wispy part of the human body and adding just a slight volt to shock life into that same part, allowing it to become so much more than its usual casual self.  It is using rope to create something that could probably be created otherwise by using elastics, clips, and other usual hair accessories, but the rope gives it that extra sense of danger and excitement, that extra je ne sais quoi that makes the tie just that much more appealing.  Like the toe tie, the hair tie is unexpected yet glamorous, and very, very appealing. The hair bondage that I have been mostly exposed to is the casual hair tie, where rope is wrapped and integrated into the hair in such a way that it forms a braid or a ponytail, which may or may not then be bonded something else as part of the bondage, such as the hands, or even the ankles, such as in a hog tie.  I love this kind of hair bondage, as it creates a hairstyle that is otherwise very normal and per usual, while adding the extra element of rope.  It also creates very pretty and easily glamorous look, which does not necessarily always coincide with a bondage photo shoot, which makes this type of hair tie very appealing to me personally.  The rope used for this kind of hair bondage is usually thin, like the ropes used for a toe tie, which blends well with hair, and thus can be worn in every day life, outside of a bondage photo shoot, making it a very versatile hair style. 

Another kind of hair bondage involves integrating and tying rope around the hair so that it forms a more strict and complex hairstyle, and often involves putting up the hair in such a way that it can be tied onto something such as a suspension pole or the hand bondage ropes when someone is tied up with their hands above their head.  To achieve the severity of this kind of hair bondage, thicker rope is often used, and in such a way that the hair style would not be supported outside of a bondage situation, simply because of the way that the hair is literally rigged into the bondage.  This kind of hair bondage can be seen often in suspensions and in photographs featuring a dominatrix-submissive relationship.  As this is generally not what Brandibondage deals with, this more severe kind of hair bondage is rarely featured.  Instead, Brandibondage seems to favor the softer and prettier hair tie, which is usually in the form of a braid.
