A Day in the Life of Brandi (as based on January 27th)
5:30 am: Wake up. Stumble to bathroom. Shower. Kick self in ass for staying out until an ungodly hour dancing with friends.
6:00 am: Poke assistant, C, and camera man, B, awake. B is already awake and bouncing off the walls. C is hung over. (And people wonder why I don’t drink).
6:30 am: Stumble to bus stop. Realize I’ve forgotten a costume for the photo shoot. Send C running back to house to retreive before bus arrives.
6: 50 am: C arrives just minutes before bus. Board bus to go to studio.
7:30 am: Arrive a few blocks down from studio. Find breakfast.
8:00 am: Enter studio and proceed to wait for the rest of the crew to arrive. Enter Tristan, and remaining two models. Crew count now at two helpers, one photographer, one camera man, three models, Uncle M and Tristan. Four model arrives at eleven.
8:05 am: Show Tristan and Uncle M new kimonos and allow them to select. Change, apply makeup, drink a bottle of water and put on music.
8:25 am: Start building tripod with Tristan. Proceed with first tie. Mean while, Uncle M and everyone else is playing with Gish. Various people wander past to see our corner of the studio.
9:00 am: Photographer has been clicking away with Gish. Comes over and starts taking pictures of suspension.
9:30 am: Come down from suspension. Take short breather and cuddle with a giant teddy bear.
10:00 am: Stand before Tristan once more and begin second tie.
12:30 pm: Suspended in second tie. Stay up maybe five minutes. Safe word used, I come down.
1:00 pm: Eat a piece of pizza. Drink some water. Feel exhausted. Watch other ties occuring. Get changed into comfy clothes. Cuddle on couch for a while with an assistant. Sleep on and off.
2:15 pm: Fall asleep on floor. Miss several other models getting tied. Miss C and K cuddling me in my sleep. Fail to wake up when dragged across floor.
4:00 pm: Rouse from slumber, change into nurse outfit. Prepare for final suspension.
4:30 pm: Begin final suspension. Have coughing fit from lingering cold. Pose for photos. Come down.
5:00 pm: Start cleaning studio.
5:30 pm: Studio is cleaned and everything packed.
6:00 pm: Arrive home. Have shower.
7:00 pm: Curl up with hot chocolate and watch movie.
9:00 pm: Go to bed. Exhausted. Pass out when head hits the pillow.
